In an exclusive interview with pop-rock trio, extreme reaction, we can reveal that their highly anticipated sophomore album - which had its release date pushed back by five months - is “worth the wait”. It’s hard to deny that we can’t leave our homes without coming across Extreme Reaction. Over night, they became a household name. How did it all start though? Well, when asked how the trio met, lead singer Candis jumped straight in and exclaimed with excitement “we’ve been friends since kindergarten!” Dec, the drummer, then added “It’s kinda funny how we’ve remained so close after a friendship that has spanned out over almost two decades”. “And counting!” eagerly shouted Craig, who is renowned for his guitar playing skills. Their debut album, An Ordinary Life, reached the top ten in five countries, and was certified Gold in both the UK and Germany after shipping 100,000 copies respectively. “I can’t believe how successful it was!” Candis boasted, “It has sold over half a million copies worldwide!” she claimed. With her five octave range and whistle register, she has been likened to megastars Mariah Carey and Leona Lewis. “I’m so flattered by people’s comparisons. They are my heroes!” The band were quick to defend themselves after I asked about their rendition of “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion, which includes a dub step break down; the song failed to reach the top 40, and was recently named one of the worst cover songs of all time. “We were going through a hard time, and we blame our record company for lack of promotion” Dec shouted. “Yer, we’re going to start writing our own songs now” Craig said intently. Dec was quick to further assure “this is why our record has been pushed back, it will be available soon.” Candis then concluded with “expect a few surprises and a European tour soon!”
